Yuba Moon Circle
A community-led women's circle gathering on the new and full moons
A space to pause and connect: with yourself, with each other, and with something greater, however you understand that.
What This Is
Yuba Moon Circle is a local gathering for women seeking authentic connection and personal growth.
There is no single leader.
There is no fixed format.
There is no required commitment.
We take turns initiating and holding space.
We trust each other to show up with care.
How We Gather
We meet on each 🌙 New and 🌕 Full moon.
We meet in each other’s homes and, when the weather allows, outside in nature. You're welcome to come whenever you feel called, no attendance requirements.
We open the circle by saging (or another cleansing ritual), lighting a candle, and calling in the four directions in a way that feels meaningful to the facilitator. We close the circle by blessing the water or a similar ritual.
Each gathering is thoughtfully facilitated by a woman from the circle.
Gathering might include:

Yes. Gatherings are free. Occasionally, a facilitator may invite optional donations to cover materials, but there is no required payment to attend.
No. There is no commitment required. Come when you can or when you feel called.
Locations vary. We gather in each other’s homes and, when the weather allows, outside in nature. Details are shared in the WhatsApp group before each circle.
No. There are spiritual elements, like opening the circle or calling in the four directions, but nothing dogmatic. Every woman can bring in her spirituality. All belief systems (and non-belief systems) are welcome.
Absolutely. Many women are new to this kind of space. You can reach out and let us know if this is your first time, so we can provide extra support.
No. All the activities are invitations, and you do what feels right to you. Listening is participation, too. We hope you take care of yourself and participate at your comfort level.
We love children and want to make this accessible to mamas. You are welcome to bring babies or older children who could hold attention for the circle activities. If childcare is an issue and desired, let's find ways to make that happen.
Many women in our community have wanted a group like this, and it has been organically born from that shared desire. There is no formal leadership or organizing team - we’re relying on everyone who feels called to help shape and grow this community to take initiative. Aruna (Sacred Human Playground) took the first steps by initiating some research and setting up this website and WhatsApp group. The circle’s official launch is February 17th, on the New Moon at the threshold of the Fire Horse.
